About St William
St William is a joint venture between The Berkeley Group and National Grid, we specialise in redeveloping redundant gas holder sites and will unlock some of the most technically complex regeneration sites at the heart of communities across London and the South East.
The Oxted gasholder site is a key priority for St William. We are committed to its demolition and to replacing it with a high quality residential scheme.
St William's approach to development is landscape led which means we focus first on life, then spaces then buildings. A landscape-led approach to master planning creates specific kinds of value. It creates an extraordinary environment. It elevates respectable architecture. It produces welcoming, civil space that work for a more diverse society. It heightens the senses, whether by unearthing the layers of local history or through sound, sight, smell and touch. Leading with the landscape is about much more than good public realm. It is different from most current development. It is about changing the order of our thinking, to create places where people love to live
